Hello, I’m Ali Banitaba.
Ali Banitaba’s interest in architecture began at a young age by observing his grandparents work with an architect to design their home, which revealed architecture as a process shaped by constraints, decisions, and communication. This experience paved his path toward receiving his architectural training at the University of Southern California’s School of Architecture.
At USC, he came to understand architecture as a multidisciplinary field and interprets the role of the designer as that of a storyteller. By engaging with control points across spatial, material, environmental, and social systems, his work focuses on creating conditions that enhance user experience. Alongside his academic work, he gained professional experience at DOSU Studio under Doris Sung, where, as a Design Intern, his biggest takeaway was learning by doing!
